College football Saturday doesn’t get much bigger than this. Alabama visits LSU at 3:30 p.m. ET with both teams sitting at 6-2, and unbeaten No. 1 Miami heads to South Bend for a primetime showdown with Notre Dame. BetMGM is offering new users bonus code FOXNEWS to cover their first bet up to $1,500. If it loses, BetMGM refunds your stake in bonus bets.
Nothing about this one is easy for either side. A third loss would put Alabama or LSU on the edge of the playoff picture, and both teams arrive with momentum. LSU has won four of its last five, including a 38-17 win at Auburn and a 31-0 shutout of Mississippi State. Alabama answered back-to-back losses to Georgia and Tennessee by beating Texas A&M 31-20.
History favors the Tide, who have won 15 of the 23 meetings since 2004, including 20-9 last season. This year’s quarterback matchup features Alabama’s Keelon Russell against LSU’s Sam Leavitt.
Odds are subject to change
Miami is 8-0, ranked No. 1 and still an underdog. The Hurricanes have one of the most explosive offenses in the country under quarterback Darian Mensah, with 52 points against Pittsburgh, 43 against Florida State and 41 at Clemson. They also beat Notre Dame 27-24 in last season’s opener.
The Irish are 7-1 and perfect at home, with their only loss coming at BYU. Revenge, a November night in South Bend and a playoff spot on the line make this the game of the day.

First Bet Cover is built for exactly this kind of swing. The No. 1 team in the country is getting plus money, it already beat this opponent a year ago, and its offense hasn’t been slowed down by anyone. Bet $100 on Miami to win outright and you collect $275 if the Hurricanes stay perfect. If Notre Dame wins, BetMGM refunds your $100 in bonus bets.
If you’d rather take your shot earlier in the day, Alabama at +154 is the other plus-money play worth a look. The Tide have owned this series, and getting a historically dominant program as an underdog doesn’t happen often.
Two heavyweight games and two underdogs worth backing. New users can cover their first bet up to $1,500 on Alabama-LSU, Miami-Notre Dame or any college football game with BetMGM bonus code FOXNEWS.
