Saturday night has two games that will shape the College Football Playoff picture. Georgia visits Ole Miss at 7:30 p.m. ET in a rematch of last season’s Sugar Bowl, and unbeaten Miami takes on Notre Dame in South Bend at the same time. Fanatics Sportsbook is offering new users promo code FOXNEWS350 to bet $20 and get $350 in FanCash on either game.
The No. 1 team in the country is an underdog. Miami is 8-0 and has been putting up points all season, with wins over Clemson, Florida State and Pittsburgh behind quarterback Darian Mensah. The Hurricanes needed a late push to get past North Carolina 38-35 last week, but they haven’t lost.
Notre Dame is 7-1 and unbeaten at home, with its only loss a 28-24 defeat at BYU. The Irish also have revenge on their minds after Miami beat them 27-24 in last season’s opener. A cold November night in South Bend is a very different setting than Hard Rock Stadium in August.

The Pick: Miami +5. This is the contrarian spot of the weekend. The market is treating the unbeaten No. 1 team like a pretender because it’s going on the road. Miami has the more explosive offense, it beat this same team a year ago, and it’s getting nearly a touchdown. Notre Dame’s home edge is real, but five points is too many. Take the Hurricanes.
These two keep meeting in big spots. Georgia won 43-35 in Athens last October, and then Ole Miss sent the Bulldogs home from the playoff with a 39-34 win in the Sugar Bowl. Lane Kiffin is now at LSU, but quarterback Trinidad Chambliss returned to Oxford, and the Rebels just rolled Auburn 45-15.
Georgia’s season has been less smooth than usual, with a 27-24 loss to Auburn sandwiched into a brutal stretch. Gunner Stockton remains one of the steadiest quarterbacks in the SEC, but Oxford at night is one of the hardest road trips in the conference.
Odds are subject to change
The Pick: Ole Miss +3. Georgia’s name carries weight in the betting market, but Ole Miss has won two of the last three meetings, plays at home and has the quarterback who beat the Bulldogs in January. A field goal is enough cushion for a home underdog with that kind of history. Back the Rebels.
Both picks come down to the same idea: the public is backing the bigger brand, and the value sits with the team getting points. With $350 in FanCash arriving win or lose, Saturday night is a good time to go against the crowd.
