This is not a drill. College basketball is back! Notre Dame and Villanova got things started early in Rome on Sunday, but Monday is the real opening day, with games tipping off before lunch and running deep into the night. Underdog is offering new users promo code FOXNEWS to play $10 and get $50 in bonus entries.
The best game on the board is Florida against Miami at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Florida opens the season as one of the top teams in the country, and Miami comes in ranked, which makes this a rare opening-night game between two legitimate contenders. Most power programs ease into November with tune-up games. This one doesn’t.
Duke, one of the other preseason favorites, opens at home against Army. It’s the kind of game where the final score matters less than the first look at a new rotation, and that’s where pick’em gets interesting. Early-season player lines are set with limited information, and the first game is the best chance to find out who’s actually getting minutes.
The Field of 68 is bringing back the all-day tip-off marathon that ESPN ran for nine seasons. Sixteen mid-major programs will play eight games across the day, starting with Murray State against Tennessee State in Sioux Falls at 11:30 a.m. ET and wrapping up with Furman against Bethune-Cookman at 8 p.m. ET. If you want basketball from morning until night, this is it.
On the women’s side, Maryland vs. South Carolina and Arizona vs. Stanford are the headliners on a packed opening day.
A full day of hoops and a top-level matchup in primetime. Play $10 on any opening day game with Underdog promo code FOXNEWS and get $50 in bonus entries.
