Minnesota is 6-0, and Detroit is favored to hand the Vikings their first loss. The numbers explain why that’s a strange spot. The Vikings are 3-0 against the spread on the road and 2-0 as underdogs. The Lions are 1-4-1 ATS this season and haven’t covered once at Ford Field.
These two teams also play completely different styles of game. The over is 5-1 in Detroit’s games, while the under is 5-1 in Minnesota’s. Something has to give. For pick ’em players, Jahmyr Gibbs is the name to start with. Few backs in the league get a bigger weekly workload, and Detroit gets safety Brian Branch back on the other side of the ball.

This is the game everyone wants to see, as long as Lamar Jackson plays. He’s questionable heading into the weekend, and the line has been padded past the field goal while that question hangs over it. The last time Jackson and Josh Allen met, it turned into an instant classic.
Buffalo has one of the most efficient offenses in the league, with 23 touchdowns this season, second only to San Francisco. The Bills also come in rested after their bye. Baltimore can move the ball with anyone with Derrick Henry in the backfield, but discipline has been an issue, with 60 penalties already on the season. The 53.5 total is the highest on the early slate, and between Allen, Henry, James Cook and Jackson, there are plenty of yards to pick from.
