It is hard to believe that we are essentially at the halfway mark for most teams. Some will have a few more than 13 or 14 games, but for the most part, that’s about it. Week 7 delivers great games on the schedule, and Underdog is offering new users a chance to get $100 in bonuses from a $5 wager using promo code FOXNEWS.
Friday night brings us just three games on the slate, and one of them stands out more than the others as Washington takes on Purdue. The other games are Memphis vs. Tulane, and Appalachian State vs. Coastal Carolina. Tonight could be a great set of games, with none of the games being more than a seven-point spread.
Memphis is the biggest favorite on the schedule. They come into the game at 5-1 and face Tulane. The Green Wave hasn’t had a very good season, going just 2-3 for the year. Memphis has won three straight games, beating UT Martin by 34, Charlotte by 51, and UAB by 25. Their lone loss came against Boise State. Tulane has lost to Duke, Kansas State, and Army, but all three losses were on the road.
Washington heads to Indiana to play against Purdue. Both teams come into this game with a 3-3 record. Washington hasn’t beaten a Big Ten team yet, but Purdue is 2-1. Washington has lost three straight games to Minnesota, USC, and Iowa. The games against the Golden Gophers and Spartans were close, losing by four or fewer. Against Iowa, they lost by 17 at home. Purdue lost three straight to Wake Forest, UCLA, and Notre Dame, and then beat Illinois and Minnesota in their past two games.
The last game of the night is App State vs. Coastal Carolina. App State comes into the game with a 3-2 record, and they are 0-1 in the Sun Belt. After starting 3-0, the Mountaineers lost their past two games to North Carolina State and Old Dominion. Coastal Carolina is 2-4 with a 1-1 record in the Sun Belt. They started 2-0, then lost three straight games to Delaware, Liberty, and Georgia Southern. They did beat Marshall last week to get back on track.
Three great games, and this just scratches the surface of the football for this weekend.
