Saturday’s college football schedule doesn’t take a breath. A top-10 Holy War kicks off at noon ET, Alabama and LSU meet in Death Valley at 3:30 p.m. ET, and No. 1 Miami visits Notre Dame in primetime. BYU at Utah, 12:00 p.m. ET: Utah is unbeaten with Big 12 and playoff stakes on the line, but BYU has won the last three meetings, all in games that totaled between 42 and 45 points.
Alabama at LSU, 3:30 p.m. ET, ABC: Both teams are 6-2, and a third loss would put either one in serious playoff trouble. LSU has won four of five, while Alabama snapped a two-game skid by beating Texas A&M.
Miami at Notre Dame, 7:30 p.m. ET, NBC: The Hurricanes are 8-0 and No. 1, yet they’re road underdogs in South Bend. Notre Dame is 7-1, unbeaten at home and still smarting from last year’s 27-24 loss in Miami.
Odds are subject to change
Keelon Russell passing yards (higher) | Alabama at LSU: Russell has shown he can carry Alabama’s offense through the air, including a 311-yard, three-touchdown performance earlier this season. LSU’s crowd will be loud, but with the total sitting at 54.5, the books expect points, and Alabama will need its quarterback to keep pace on the road.
Rico Scott receiving yards (higher) | Alabama at LSU: If Russell is throwing, Scott is the main beneficiary. He went for 156 yards on six catches in the same game Russell lit up, and he’s Alabama’s most dangerous downfield threat. In a game this close on paper, the Tide will look to hit big plays.
Sam Leavitt passing yards (higher) | Alabama at LSU: The other side of the same shootout. LSU has been putting up points, including 38 at Auburn and 63 against McNeese, and Leavitt will be asked to answer Alabama’s passing attack at home.
Javian Mallory rushing yards (lower) | Miami at Notre Dame: Here’s the contrarian play. Miami’s offense runs through quarterback Darian Mensah and the passing game, and Notre Dame’s defense is the toughest the Hurricanes have seen. Expect the Irish to sell out against the run and make Miami win through the air, which leaves Mallory with a tough path to his number.
Between the three headliners, the Saturday slate is packed with conference games in every window, giving you plenty of options to build around once your four free picks are locked in.
