The NBA Cup’s second Friday is here, and it brings nine more Group Play games that count twice: once in the standings and once in the race for a knockout spot. With only four group games per team, every result matters. Underdog is offering new users promo code FOXNEWS to play $10 and get $50 in bonus entries on any NBA Cup matchup.
All 30 teams are split into six groups of five. Each team plays the other four in its group once, and only the six group winners plus one wild card from each conference advance to the knockout rounds starting Dec. 4. The championship is Dec. 11 at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. A single loss in November can end a team’s Cup run, which is why these games tend to be played with playoff-level urgency.
LeBron James points (higher) | 76ers at Cavaliers, 7:30 p.m. ET: This is the reunion game of the night. LeBron returns to Cleveland in a 76ers uniform, in a group that includes the defending champion Knicks, Miami and Indiana. East Group B is the toughest pod in the tournament, and a game this emotional in a building that knows him best is the kind of spot where he takes over.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander points (higher) | Thunder at Grizzlies, 8:00 p.m. ET: The reigning MVP is carrying a short-handed Thunder team. Oklahoma City has been without Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren and Cason Wallace, which leaves Gilgeous-Alexander with an even bigger share of the offense. In a tight West Group B, the Thunder need him to be great on the road.
Victor Wembanyama rebounds (higher) | Spurs at Kings, 10:00 p.m. ET: Wembanyama spent the offseason refining his post game, but his impact on the glass is what makes him a nightly double-double threat. The Spurs are in West Group C with the Lakers, Warriors and Trail Blazers, and every group game counts.
Luka Dončić assists (higher) | Trail Blazers at Lakers, 10:00 p.m. ET: Dončić has full control of the Lakers’ offense now, and Portland’s defense will have to choose between taking away his scoring or his passing. Either way, his playmaking should show up in the box score.
Nine NBA Cup games, a LeBron homecoming and stars all over the board. Play $10 on any NBA Cup matchup with Underdog promo code FOXNEWS and get $50 in bonus entries.
