Canelo Alvarez is back on Saturday, and for the first time in years he’s walking to the ring as the challenger. He takes on undefeated WBC super middleweight champion Christian Mbilli at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, live on DAZN pay-per-view.
We’ve rounded up the best sportsbook promos for new users this weekend, along with a bet to place at each book.
This fight was supposed to happen Sept. 12 before a personal matter for Alvarez pushed it back seven weeks. Both fighters will be coming off a layoff of more than 13 months. Canelo (63-3-2, 39 KOs) hasn’t fought since losing a unanimous decision to Terence Crawford in September 2025, the first defeat of his career since 2022. Mbilli (29-0-1, 24 KOs) fought to a split draw with Lester Martinez on that same card.
Canelo is 36 and has been in 28 major title fights. Mbilli is the bigger man on paper, with an inch of height and nearly two inches of reach, and he’s never been in a fight close to this size. The books still believe in the name. Canelo opened as a solid favorite and has stayed there all week.

Total Rounds: 10.5 (Over -475, Under +300)
BetMGM is offering new users bonus code FOXNEWS, which covers your first bet up to $1,500. If it loses, BetMGM refunds your stake in bonus bets. That makes it the right book to take a swing on the underdog. Mbilli is undefeated, he holds the belt, he has the size advantage, and he’s 36-year-old Canelo’s first opponent since the Crawford loss. Bet $100 on Mbilli at +250 and you collect $350 if he wins. If Canelo gets it done, you get a $100 bonus bet back.
FanDuel is offering new users a chance to earn up to $250 in bonus bets from a $5 wager. Bet $5 today to earn a $50 bonus bet token, then repeat that for five days to collect five tokens worth $250 total.
Canelo’s best version has always been the one that breaks opponents down over 12 rounds. Against a younger, undefeated champion with a reach edge, and coming off more than a year away, expect a patient Canelo who wins rounds rather than hunts the knockout. The decision and the knockout are priced the same, and the decision is the more likely path.
Fanatics Sportsbook is offering new users promo code FOXNEWS350 to bet $20 and earn $350 in FanCash. The FanCash comes regardless of the result, so this is the spot to keep it simple. Canelo has been in more title fights than Mbilli has had pro fights, and the market has backed him all week. Bet $20 on Canelo to win and collect $350 in FanCash once the wager is graded.
bet365 is offering new users $200 in bonus bets from a $10 wager, win or lose. The qualifying bet needs odds of -500 or longer, and the over on total rounds fits at -475. Both fighters have been out for more than a year, Canelo hasn’t stopped anyone in years, and Mbilli has never been knocked out. This one should go deep.
