The SEC is routinely considered the best conference in the country. This season is really no different, with many teams filling the top ranks in the nation. Tennessee and South Carolina battle each other in this one, with the Volunteers coming in as the 11th-ranked team in the country.
Tennessee has put together a very nice campaign with six wins and just one loss. The lone loss on the schedule was when they hosted Texas earlier this season. That was a narrow defeat, falling 20-17. The next three games have been very good wins for them, beating Auburn, Arkansas and, last week, taking down Alabama. The offense hasn’t looked flawless, scoring only 22.8 points per game over the past four weeks, but they will happily take a 3-1 record.
South Carolina comes into the game with a 3-3 record for the year, and they’ve only won one SEC game. That win came last week as they routed a reeling Florida team. Before that win, they saw losses against Mississippi State, Alabama and Kentucky. Now they have another tough task having to score against a strong Tennessee defense.

In the World Series, we get Game 2 of a great matchup. The Brewers and Rays have so many similarities they might as well be the same franchise. Both are small-market teams. Both have low payrolls. Both have seen more than their fair share of players come and go from the club, and every time it seems like their team improves. It doesn’t matter who is on the roster for these two teams; they just find ways to win games.
Now they both are in the World Series, and the Brewers have a 1-0 lead. That means that the Rays are looking to tie up the series before it heads to Tampa for Games 3-5. We can expect each of these games to be strategy-filled and matchup-driven.
