Crest 3D Whitestrips Professional Effects offer a convenient way to help lift surface stains at home. Compared to the cost and efficacy of professional whitening, I find these effective. I’ve seen results after several days of consistent use.
I like that I can work them into my routine, too. They adhere to my teeth, so I can talk and drink water while they work. At the dentist, on the other hand, you have to lie in a chair and remain still throughout the treatment. When I’m done, I peel them off and toss them.
The Amazon Beauty sale brings the kit to its lowest price in nine months. At $35, it’s just above its all-time low, making this a good time to save on a 22-treatment kit that could also work as a stocking stuffer.
Each kit includes 44 strips: one longer strip for the upper teeth and one shorter strip for the lower teeth in each treatment. Depending on the version, you can wear them for 45 minutes or one hour.
Tooth sensitivity is one of the most common complaints among reviewers. Some shoppers report discomfort after several treatments, while others say the strips can be awkward to apply or leave an unpleasant taste. Results also vary, depending on your teeth and level of stains.
I find that using the strips four or five days in a row can leave my teeth feeling unpleasantly sensitive; I get around that by skipping two or three days when doing treatments so my teeth get a break.
“The sensitivity thing is real, and you do have to plan around that commitment,” wrote one reviewer. “But if you want results you can actually see without breaking the bank or sitting in a dentist’s chair, these are legit.”
“Around day six, I started getting these little zings of sensitivity in a couple of my teeth. Nothing unbearable, but definitely noticeable. Switching to Sensodyne toothpaste for a few days helped a lot,” said another reviewer. “If you’ve got sensitive teeth to begin with, you might want to do every other day instead.”
