Country music stars are having themselves one heck of a hunting season.
Luke Combs, Riley Green, Parker McCollum and Sam Barber have all been getting in on the action this fall. Chris Janson recently told OutKick OutDoors about his own Colorado elk-hunting adventure.
And now Koe Wetzel is joining the party with an absolute monster of a bull elk.

The Texas-born singer showed off his impressive harvest on Instagram Wednesday, posing behind the massive animal with a compound bow resting across its body. The bull sports an enormous set of antlers, and judging by the smile on Wetzel’s face, he’s pretty pleased with how this particular hunting trip turned out.
The caption? Just two words: “Oklahoma Breakdown.”
Unclear if Koe was revealing the location of his hunt or just happened to be listening to a very good song by Stoney LaRue. Probably both.
Either way, that’s an impressive animal.
The post came just one day after Wetzel shared a collection of music-related photos on Instagram with the caption, “Posted from a remote area hunting elk.”

Apparently, he was making pretty good use of his time in that remote area.
And for anyone familiar with Wetzel’s love of hunting, none of this should come as a surprise.
During a June appearance on the “Country Outdoors” podcast, Wetzel made it abundantly clear that hunting season takes priority over just about everything else on his calendar.
“October to February don’t call me cause you’re probably not gonna get a nice response,” he said.
Well, it’s October. So consider this your friendly reminder to leave Koe Wetzel alone.
The 34-year-old singer has been hunting since childhood, growing up in East Texas and learning to appreciate the outdoors long before his music career took off. In a 2024 interview with Hook & Barrel, he revealed that he got his first bow when he was just 8 years old and still practices archery year-round, sometimes bringing his bows along on tour.

And this certainly isn’t his first gigantic elk.
Wetzel previously harvested a big bull in New Mexico, reportedly making a rifle shot from more than 540 yards. During a 2025 appearance on “Country Outdoors,” he also discussed taking a bull elk measuring more than 380 inches.
It’s unclear whether those were the same animal, but one thing is certain: Wetzel has plenty of experience chasing big game.
His latest Instagram post doesn’t reveal the score of this bull or the details of the hunt.
We’d ask him, but he was pretty clear about not calling him this time of year.
