OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN: Australian Honor
Olivia Newton-JohnÂ has been made a Companion of the Order of Australia, her home country’s highest civilian honor.
Cited for her “service to community health,” the singer-actress who is being treated for cancer again, responded via aÂ FacebookÂ video. She said, “I am so proud to be an Aussie and this couldnât have come at a better time.”
Newton-John was recognized for her âeminent service to community health, particularly for people living with cancer, through support for medical research, and as a songwriter and performer.”
